My 24th Birthday!

On Wednesday I turned the big 2-4. I am officially in my "mid-twenties", what? Most days I can hardly fathom that I've been graduated from high school for 6 years, graduated from college for 2, and have been married for 3! I am a grown-up.

My birthday was low-key, but still great! When Kyle got home from work I opened up my presents. I got She's the Man and Easy A, and some shirts. Then we went to the Grille from Ipanema, a Brazilian BBQ restaurant like Tucanos, and it was delicious! It overlooks Lake Coeur d'Alene and is owned by people in our ward. Like I said, it was delicious! Our favorite is the garlic steak, and the grilled pineapple of course! I also love the mashed potatoes. Then we came home and watched Easy A :) I also got so many great birthday wishes from so many people. Thank you, thank you! And special thanks to Kyle who made my day great. I love you!

Kyle got me a really awesome balloon that said "Happy Birthday Princess" on it.
Outside the restaurant. They are doing some construction on what will become a lakeside park.

Yellowstone 2013

Since we were moving farther away from Yellowstone, Kyle wanted to go really badly. At first I was against it because we were moving across the state! But he said he would work really hard (which he did!) if we could go. So I gave in :) I love Yellowstone, too. We left on Tuesday, and came back on Friday (the week before we moved). We also had a groupon we had purchased for a river rafting trip in Jackson, so we wanted to make sure we used that.

So we drove to Jackson on Tuesday, got our tent set up and spent the afternoon/evening hiking around Jenny Lake.

My favorite buffaloes with the Tetons in the background.
Just a few more of my friends.

Kyle and I at Hidden Falls.
Our deer friend.
Our moose friends.
Wednesday we got up, packed up our things and headed to Jackson. We went on a 2.5 hour raft trip, which was so fun. We did the "gentle" float and had a great time. We had a great guide, and a cute family of four from Utah in our raft with us.

It was really pleasant that day, and so pretty!
Me on the raft!
We saw quite a few bald eagles - and this adolescent one was so close to us!

Close up!
Side note: we had to sign our deposit agreement and send in our deposit this day for our new house. It was crazy with dying cell phones and no internet... But we got it done!

That afternoon we drove up to Yellowstone, where we stayed two more nights until coming home.

Gorgeous sunset over Yellowstone Lake.
Kyle doing his favorite thing - throwing rocks in the lake.

I believe that was an elk.

All the buffalo have migrated to Lamar Valley!

Waiting for Old Faithful!

As you can imagine, we had a great time! We really enjoy camping, and Yellowstone! This is the 3rd time we've been since we've been married! Now, next summer we'll have to explore Glacier!

Hanson Family Pictures 2013

When we had the whole Hanson family in town over the 4th of July, we booked a family photo shoot, and I thought I would share some of them!

Still to come....
Our Yellowstone trip,
the move,
and our new home!

Farewell Parties

Amidst the trip to Utah, a trip to Yellowstone, packing and cleaning, we had a handful of farewell parties, as well as just spent time with our friends.. We have really grown to love Pocatello and all of the friends we've made there.

We went out to breakfast one morning with a handful of people from Kyle's program.

I had a girls night with Kacey and Shaeli. We went to our favorite restaurant, Mahaba's, and got pedicures.

I had a girls night with Em and Lindsay, and we went to dinner at the Grecian Key, walked around the Farmers Market, and got shakes at Sonic.

It was Levi's birthday, and he and Shaeli invited us over for dinner along with our friends Garett and Colleen (and their kiddos).

I went to frozen yogurt with Kasi.

Bright Tomorrows threw us a lunch - we love those ladies so much and we are both grateful for the time we spent there.

Kasey and Shaeli threw us the most wonderful party! It was luau themed and in our backyard. So many people from our ward came (along with Emma and Kasi) and it was a lot of fun.

Me and my Emma! She was my assistant manager at SOH and one of my best friends in Poky!
Leah Lou, Kacey and Tyler's little one.
Me and Kasi! I look up to her so much! She is such a great friend, and person!
Shaeli, Kacey and I. These two have been my best friends in Poky and I am so grateful for them and their friendship!!
Me and Enzo, Kasi's little boy. Isn't he to die for? I love him.
I didn't get pictures of everyone who came, but we love them all!
Like I said, we have made so many great friends up here.
We loved our time in Poky!

Our Last Utah Trip

I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves. We spent time with friends, family, and has a great time!

We went and visited my dear friend Dani, and her new baby, Jackson!
My sweet sissy.
Crazy faces!
K and Char.
We went and visited our dear friend Erica, who is pregnant with their first! Erica and her husband Aaron lived in the apartment above us when we were first married and we love them so much! Unfortunately Aaron was studying for the bar so we didn't get to see him.
We had lunch with Tyler and Alishia and got to meet baby Parker! He is so darling.
Spent time with this cutie.
And this one!
She loves her Uncle Kyle.
We also visited Nadia and Savannah, but I don't have any pictures of that! And I also went and visited my bestie Natalie at her parents new house in South Jordan. She is the best!

Like I said, we had a great time, and we're glad we got to see so many friends before we moved far away.
