Abe's Nursery

I finally got around to taking some pictures of Abe's nursery today!
It was pretty overcast, so the pictures are a little gloomy, and there are a few more things we'd like to add to the walls and such, but it's pretty much done!

The view from the door.

June

Somehow it's June, and I have no idea how we got here.

It is full-blown summer here in the inland Northwest. A couple of days ago we had a thunderstorm to prove it. And most days have been consistently in 70's. The sun rises at 5 am, and doesn't set until 9 pm. The birds are singing as early as 4:30 am.
And I love it.

Kyle and I have always been pretty adventurous in the summertime. Maybe him more so than me, but since being married I've come to appreciate a good camping trip. This year we're throwing a little buddy in the mix and have been contemplating taking him out.
We'll see how he does when the time comes.

We are loving our life right now.
And we are so excited to head to Utah in two weeks, to see all our family, and bless our sweet boy.

We will see you all soon!

2 Months

(On May 26th - and I keep forgetting to take a picture!!)

Weight: 8 pounds, 1 ounce (5th percentile)
Height: 21.5 inches (25th percentile)
Head Circumference: 38.5 centimeters (45th percentile)

He's a just a little guy, but we love him!
He is doing really well. He's obviously a little on the small side. Dr. Weeda isn't too concerned, but we're headed back in one month to do a weight check, just to make sure he is still gaining well.

At 2 months Abe:
+ is starting to smile. just barely though. we can't wait until he is doing it more consistently!
+ is also starting to coo and make little talking noises. it's the cutest.
+ goes to bed around 11 pm, wakes up to eat between 2-3, and then wakes up again around 7. usually. that's a very loose schedule. but whatever the times end up being - he still only wakes up one time a month.
+ takes a bottle like a champ.
+ has started to like the pacifier.

2 months old - where does the time go??
I always thought it was so cliche when parents said that the time flies by.
And then I became a parent, and I am pretty sure that the last two months were actually like 2 weeks. The days can feel long sometimes, but the weeks fly by.
