Here goes....
The weekend of Father's Day we went down to Utah. Not only was it Father's Day, but my little sister turned 10 that same day. We went down Friday morning - and stopped by Emily's salon so she could do some reshaping of my hair. Em is one of my best friends and I haven't seen her since we moved and it was SO GOOD to see her. I love that girl. K and I grabbed some lunch and then headed to my mom's house where we just hung out the rest of the day. Saturday morning we met up with Kyle's family (Evan, Holly, Nate and Mel and the kids, and Alan, Jess and Claire) at Utah Lake and got some picnic-ing and boating in. It was so much fun! Kyle got to do some wake boarding and I got in some tubing. After a long day we went back to my mom's for Chari's birthday meal and then went bowling before K and I headed up to his parent's house to spend the night. Sunday we went to church with them -the ward Kyle grew up in (and fun fact: Cassie and her husband live in that ward! It was so fun to see her!) then Nathan and Alan's families came over for a Father's Day dinner before K and I drove back to Poky.
No... I did not take any photos because I took my camera but forgot an SD card. Good job, right?
Last week Kyle and I went camping with Evan and Holly up north-east of Ashton, and stated at the Cave Falls campground. We left on Wednesday and came back on Saturday. I did take pictures of that trip - so here you go!
Up the road from our campground you can enter in Yellowstone. We called it the "back door" to Yellowstone. |
Cave Falls! They are in Yellowstone. |
The Tetons from a distance. |
K and I at Mesa Falls. |
As you can probably tell - we had a really good time! Thanks to Evan and Holly for taking us camping :)
More along the lines of catching up on day to day things.. There isn't too much to say. Kyle is still applying for jobs. We are hoping he gets one soon, of course. OH but he did get his test scores back from his licensure exam and he passed (I knew he would...) so come July when the board meets I will be married to a Licensed Professional Counselor! Kyle is so awesome and I am so proud of him!
